Good morning! I’m Glenna Gordon, and I’m thrilled to be taking over the @everydayafrica feed for the week. I’ll be posting on a different theme every day. Today’s theme is #PATTERN
Koranic verse is written in Arabic calligraphy by a Darfuri refugee at a camp in Eastern Chad. When someone is sick, he writes out a prayer like this - dipping a wooden pen in ink and water, and then bringing the water to the family in need of healing. November 7, 2013. Photo by @glennagordon taken while on assignment for @hiasrefugees and shared today with @parismatch_magazine, who will also be featuring my work alongside the @everydayafrica feed this week. #chad #darfur #refugee #islam #koran #prayer #healing
